Most trees in the park have a wrap around their trunk. Some wraps are from metal, others from plastic. What is it for? You wonder. But then this mystery is solved, when during twilight you see something crawling up an unwrapped tree. A cat, you think. But quite a bearish one with big claws and a long snout. You stare at it, it stares back. But it doesn’t move an inch. Completely frozen. Not afraid at all. And suddenly you get a bit afraid yourself. What is it up to? What is it? Possum.
Happy Australia day, everyone!
